Frequently asked questions
Is this a subscription?
No. You pay once and use Pro for good, including updates and support. There’s no renewal and no automatic charge.
How do I get updates?
The usual way, through the WordPress admin under “Updates”, just like any other plugin. Your license doesn’t expire, so you get every new version.
How does support work?
Email us at plugins@hansandfriends.de. We respond within two business days. Support covers everything related to the plugin, such as import errors, error messages and setup questions. General WordPress help and problems with your theme or hosting aren’t included.
Do I need Pro for posts and pages?
No. Posts and pages work in the free version, including the bulk import.
Why + VAT and only for businesses?
Replace External Images is aimed at agencies, freelancers and businesses. That’s why we show net prices. Sales and invoicing are handled by our payment provider, Freemius. If you enter a valid EU VAT ID at checkout, you pay the net price without VAT, even from Germany. You then report the VAT yourself under the reverse-charge mechanism. Without a VAT ID, Freemius charges your country’s VAT.
Can I upgrade to Pro Unlimited later?
Yes, at any time. At checkout, choose “Unlimited sites” and enter your license key under “Renew or upgrade?”. You only pay the difference, no matter when you switch.
What if it doesn’t work for me?
Email us at plugins@hansandfriends.de, tell us what isn’t working, and include the import log (the “Copy log” button in the import dialog) or a screenshot. It can usually be solved quickly. If we can’t fix the problem, you’ll get your money back within 14 days of purchase.
I bought an add-on in the past. What now?
You get Pro for free. We’ll email you the coupon code. If nothing has arrived, contact us through support.
